Jason White

Jason was born on 10th November 1978 in Sydney. He was an only child of two owners of a language school. He was a typical teenager until 7th June 1991, when he had an accident that damaged his brain.  After the accident, he felt different, his brain was immune to fear. This emotion couldn’t simply arise within his body. Jason wanted to use this ability in a good way, so he joined the Police Academy in Sydney. In 2000 he was noticed by SPCU (Australian SWAT) and was recruited by them. There, they named him Audacious  (O.D.) due to his (dis)ability. O.D. was an extraordinary member, and thanks to him, many a crime has been solved. On 30th September 2012, Arthur recruits him to ASAT.

After Reading Book 0 your are taken to Book 1. The story takes place a week later and is divided into five chapters. Each chapter regards one piece of the Seal of Solomon that the team struggles to retrieve. And that’s all I can reveal about the plot. There are six characters, completely different, and the difference does nothing but conflicts between them. My favourite one is Tokutei, a martial arts master who even though has his code, he constantly tries to prove he’s better than the others and does everything his own way, which many a time jeopardizes the missions. The book is full of unexpected twists which create that “WOW” while reading. I liked the fact that it doesn’t take place in one place, but the team travels to a prison, north Europe and some other places around the USA. The language isn’t difficult so the targeted audience is well chosen- young adults. If you love constant action, fights, zombies, vampires and other paranormalia, this book is definitely for you. Make sure to read Book 0 first, without it you may get lost in the first part.  My mark 4,5/5.
